We are almost there, y’all! Today is the last installment of the challenge for 2019! If you’ve been following along, you are in a good place heading into this Thanksgiving week. I hope you are feeling accomplished and able to relax a little more than usual. If you’re just joining in today, no problem! You are going to get a jump on things too. Let’s get started!

Prepare Cards for Mailing

Put on a Hallmark movie, get out your stamps, make some hot chocolate, and get those Christmas cards stuffed, stamped, and ready to go out the door. I like to put mine in the mail the day after Thanksgiving. If you used this service, then you won’t have to bother with addressing. I absolutely love sending out Christmas cards and I enjoy receiving them even more.

Plan Your Festive Attire

This is something I find truly helpful. Plan out your outfits (and your family’s) for the month. From breakfast with Santa to Christmas Eve church services, it’s nice to know what everyone will wear. This helps you know if you need to buy anything, launder anything, and honestly it’s just one less thing to think about once the crazy schedule begins. Join our newsletter for a free printable wardrobe planner for December.

Schedule in Santa

If you have children who will visit Santa to whisper their wishes and get a photo, now is the time to pencil it in. Many places offer online scheduling ahead of time which can help you avoid long lines.

Make a Stocking Stuffer Date

You need to work in a time to shop for stocking stuffers and why not make it a date, too? Grab your husband or your best friend, hit up Starbuck’s, then pick up all those fun little stocking gifts.

Set a Date with Yourself

I schedule a December massage for myself every year and I enjoy looking forward it almost as much as the massage itself. Even if you can’t work in a spa day, schedule a day “off” from the hustle and bustle. It can be as simple as uninterrupted reading time by the fire or picking up a fancy bath bomb just for you.

It’s not even December, but even if you’ve only partially participated in the challenge, you are surely set up for a less hectic holiday!

Schedule Decorating and Wrapping

Now for the really fun stuff! Get out your calendar and decide when you want to do all that decorating and wrapping. You might block out a weekend to decorate your home and a night for wrapping your gifts. You could also plan that for a week you’ll wrap each night while watching Christmas movies. Just pencil it in so you know when it will get done. I also suggest setting up a wrapping “station” with everything you’ll need before you get started.

Advent Calendars

If you are going to treat yourself and/or your family with advent calendars, I’ve rounded up a massive list of options. Santa already sent me this one… I did last year’s version and it was such a treat! On the last night of November I’ll give each person in my household an advent calendar full of little treasures to enjoy each day in December. If you’re looking for ideas, look no further! My list has them all… from budget-friendly to luxury options. Click the photo to shop these and more.

This month’s free printable is a set of tags to add to your advent calendars. Make giving them an event! Join the email list to get these tags.
