Lucky you, it's a St. Patrick's Day-themed movie night! For this one we watched The Magical Legend of the Leprechauns. More on the movie in a bit, as the real hit of this night was the food. The decorations are a lot of fun too.
11th Birthday Pizza Party!

My son just turned 11 and he is just so hungry. All the time. He's a bottomless pit. So when he suggested a pizza theme for his birthday party I thought it was perfect! We started with these invitations and it just got more fun from there. This was a family party, since our family is a party in itself!
We had the most delicious vanilla cake with caramel filling from Sugar Bakeshop in Denver.
I love all the pizza toppings around the side! I always order personalized napkins for my kids' birthday parties.
For the tables I used a combination of pizza decorations, things I had on hand, and pizza supplies from the grocery store.
At the last minute I decided to make place cards and give everyone a pizza-themed nickname. I edited out the last names but you get the idea!
The coffee bar had lots of birthday love too, including pizza string lights.
Dinner could not have been easier for this one. I just ordered from our favorite local pizza place and added a salad.
I picked up little craft kits from the Valentine's section at Hobby Lobby. The kids all took a long time coloring and creating these and they turned out super cute.
For favors we did pizza keychains, necklaces and sticker sheets.
Custom stickers on cello bags wrapped these up nicely.
It was a delicious party for the boy who made me a mom and has a huge pizza my heart!
Movie Night: The Crimson Wing: Mystery of the Flamingos

I blame this movie night for my flamingo obsession. This is one we did a few years ago and I've been flamingo crazy ever since. It inspired my daughter's flamingo-themed birthday party and perhaps you've noticed my logo. Flamingos are just too FUN and not to mention pink!
The Crimson Wing is part of the Disneynature series, which we adore. These films are beautiful, educational and really entertaining.
The Disneynature movies do have elements such as predators, danger, birth, and nursing mothers... they never go too far in my opinion but you'll want to be aware of your children's' ages and level of sensitivity. The Crimson Wing was the scariest of the series as far as danger, but overall we just loved it. It's fascinating.
Back to the fun parts! I had to have pink plastic flamingos (obviously) so I put them in potted plants.
I even had some flamingo loot for my people at this movie night.
For dinner we enjoyed grilled shrimp and pineapple, roasted potatoes, salad and Hawaiian rolls.
We love Trader Joe's sparkling pink lemonade and it was perfect for our little flamingo fete!
Pink velvet cupcakes were our sweet treat before settling in to watch the movie.
Again, I recommend all the Disneynature films for your family movie night. You'll laugh and you'll learn something. Here's to family fun that inspires you for years to come!
