Certain seasonal movies are so classic, they bring a certain level of comfort when you watch them year after year. That’s the case with It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown for our family. My kids said this was the movie they were most excited about this year!

Our table was simple but festive. I pull out these little figurines year after year.

Another thing that is rapidly becoming a fall family tradition? Making super easy and delicious seasonal meals from Trader Joe’s. We had the pumpkin ravioli, sausage, Autumnal Harvest sauce, salad and garlic cheese bread. It all came together so quickly.

It was a cozy kind of dinner, perfect for waiting on the Great Pumpkin!

Our movie snack was hot chocolate and popcorn with some candy corn mixed in… simple pleasures of the season. I was delighted to find these bowls and mugs at Homegoods.

Halloween Cereal Station & Tea Towels

Halloween, Cereal StationAmy WileyComment

I love the whimsical, silly side of Halloween. I pulled out all our decorations over the weekend and the house is feeling frightfully festive! Our Halloween Cereal Station is set up in the kitchen ready for quick breakfasts, after-school snacks and late-night treats.

This time I went with Pumpkin Spice Cheerios, Reese’s Puffs Bats, and Pumpkin Spice Frosted Mini Wheats. We aren’t scared of a little sugar!

The bowls are from the Target Dollar Spot and I adore them. The little words on the insides are the perfect extra touch.

Simply putting the cereal in jars makes it so much easier to grab and so much more fun at the same time.

I also swapped out my tea towel display for the season. I’m enjoying it but I would love to add a little more orange to the mix. Can you spot the Halloween flamingos?!

Movie Night: Z-O-M-B-I-E-S

Movie Night, HalloweenAmy WileyComment

It’s October… it’s movie night… BRING IT ON!! We LOVE Halloween at our house but I definitely prefer to celebrate in “cute not creepy” fashion. I picked this movie because it’s fun and fitting for Halloween, but not at all scary or dark. Disney’s Z-O-M-B-I-E-S is a peppy little made-for-TV movie about cheerleaders and zombies. What’s not to love?

This isn’t even a Halloween movie, but it fits right in. All the colors in Z-O-M-B-I-E-S are neon, so I ran with it. I neglected to get a photo of our dinner, but we had my husband’s famous sausage burgers, curly fries and salad.

The main event is always our movie snack. We were thrilled to try the Trader Joe’s candy corn popcorn. Y’all… it’s DELICIOUS.

I couldn’t resist throwing in some Sour Patch Zombies as well.

A sweet friend gave me these popcorn bowls last Christmas and I adore them.

This little movie will get you in a festive mood for October, and it has some good messages about accepting people who are different. It even has a few laughs for the parents.
