As we enter November and the season of gratitude, I have a great little movie to recommend. Good Sam is on Netflix and is both entertaining and inspirational.

The story is set in New York City, where a mysterious person is leaving bags containing $100,000 each on the doorsteps of various people. A news reporter works to dig up the identity of this good Samaritan or “Good Sam.” This movie keeps you guessing and creativity shows what a joy it is to give to others.
It does have a couple of bad words, but they were uttered rather than proclaimed and my kids didn’t pick up on them. You can see a full content guide here.
I used the large sums of cash in the movie as inspiration for a simple table setting. The best part? My kids could not stop guessing what kind of movie was in store… they were intrigued!
These napkins are too funny! I used one at each place setting, then put the remaining stacks of “cash” on the centerpiece. The leftover napkins are perfect for adding a fun touch to lunchboxes after movie night is over.
A little bag of confetti was the only other item I purchased for this movie night. It added a whimsical touch and my daughter claimed the tiny dollar bills for her dolls after it was over. How cute is that?!
Good Sam is a fitting choice as we transition from Halloween to Thanksgiving. It’s a hidden gem!
